Was pleasantly surprised over the weekend to find the approval letter and card - hadn't checked my mail box for a couple of weeks... didnt realize that the approval times had improved and was not really expecting the approval to come through this month. Sooo glad the wait is over. Good Luck to everyone who are waiting.

For future applicants i submitted the following docs(in no particualr order),

bank stmts (under both our names)

home deed with mortgage details (both names listed)

IRA accounts with beneficiaries (both our accounts)

pics

marriage cert and birth certificates of kids (first one before the 2 year period and second one was born during this last 2 years)

did NOT submit letters of recommendation. so its not absolutely essential, however, i was confident in our case as we had a lot of other evidence. so each case is different i guess.

I thought I would throw my hat in the ring to let you all know that we filed in March with our NOA date of March 28th. We got our Biometrics appointment on 5/15/13. I am still waiting for the approval from online. What is crazy is my wife left the country right before her CR-1 expired! Thankfully she has the letter of extension with her. She is flying back this week. I talked to a CBP officer about this. He said it was no problem so yay!

Hi. I need help here..we received and RFE asking for BIRTH CERTIFICATE of children(we don't have a child yet), FINANCIAL STATEMENT (wondering if we need to submit again our bank statement and copy of joint tax return) and RESIDENCE (which we don't have any utilities or any bills being paid together,cuz we only stayed at my mother in laws house and didn't pay any rent or bills) so my question is, is it ok if we only submit again our joint bank statement and joint tax return? Don't just send the same things again. What exactly did you send to begin with? Knowing that will allow people to offer suggestions as to what else you could provide to satisfy the RFE.

We submit a copy of our bank statement, joint tax return 2010,2011 and 2012, copy of our drivers license stating same address,copy of passport and GC..we also submit a letter explaining our situation were we live that's why we don't have any bills/rent. Thats all we have....

Only one bank statement? You need to send statements from throughout the entire length of your marriage. Some people send 1 for every few months, and some go ahead and send every month for an RFE. Since you have no lease or mortgage, you can have your mother-in-law write an affidavit to state that you two live with her and all the utilities are in her name. Any shared insurances, such as car, health or life? Shared credit card accounts? Family cell phone plan? Letters you have received addressed to the both of you? Anything else you can think of that might have both your names on it to prove co-mingling?

Since you have no lease or mortgage, you can have your mother-in-law write an affidavit to state that you two live with her and all the utilities are in her name. Any shared insurances, such as car, health or life? Shared credit card accounts? Family cell phone plan? Letters you have received addressed to the both of you? Anything else you can think of that might have both your names on it to prove co-mingling?

I forgot to mention above that im actually 15weeks pregnant, we just found out last month.wondering if my husband can make an affidavit letter saying that im pregnant, can we also add a copy of my ultrasound? Is this will be enough to add on our RFE?

I would go ahead and provide proof from the doctor that you are pregnant and a copy of the ultrasound too if you wish. Besides your mother-in-law writing up an affidavit about you living with her, you can get a couple other friends/family/neighbors to write affidavits stating they are witnesses to your marriage/living arrangement. You do not have a lot of evidence, so you need to add anything you can think of that could help. Congrats on your pregnancy and good luck to you!

LIVID. Blind angry. We provided them with more than enough proof of commingling. Jesus do the want to watch us in our marriage bed?! We just received a RFE for more information. I am the bread winner. My husband doesnt work. I submitted 3 affidavits but since 2 of them were not notarized the carry no proof. I sent in the paper work for our taxes but those were not proof of filing? This is absurd! I was methodical in everything I sent. I sent a abundance of proof. the file of proof was over a inch thick. I sent everything we had. And now they want more? I just don't get it. Simply dont get.
