Another photo question

I have figured out I will need 9 photos; 1 for I-129F, one for duplicate package, 3 for medical, 2 for passport and one for interview. I think this is right. My kids will need will need the same except the 2 for the-129F and duplicate copy. This is $12 for every 2 I get that is 30 pictures for me and 3 kids about $360...yikes!!

Which ones can I make copies and use those? I assume for the actual passport I will need them from a photographer with a date but can I just make copies on photo paper for the rest of them?

have you looked into getting the passport pictures done at Walmart?

I got 3 passport photos at Sav'On for $1. If you think about it, a digital print costs $.20c and they can fit three passport photos on one print. Shouldn't cost $6 a photo.

I am doing same as I only recently had new pics taken when I did a name change and got a new passport (so within the 6 months period)....Having multiple passport pics printed out for medical and visa on the one sheet and save $$$. They are printed out no differently....same bit of machinery that does it anywhere else

I thought of having them printed off. But what I am wondering is which ones need a stamp on the back? Just the actual passport ones? I can go to Staples and have a whole sheet printed off for next to nothing.

As far as the 2 x 2 size....which need to be 2 x 2? Just the one for the I -129F and the visa?

Some members I have noted have said they gave different size for the medical, but I would personally go with them all the 2 x 2 format.

Any pictures that you will be using to apply for your passport will need the stamp, any for immigration will not need the stamp.

Go to a photo place and ask them to put 6 pics on a 4" x 6" sheet, cut them yourself.

The 'stamp' is what photo places put on the back of pics for your passport, it's for the guarantor to sign.

It says something along the lines of:

I ceritfy that this is: _____________ signed: _____________ and the guarantor fills in the blanks.

Cristy, my pics for my passport had the stamp with the date they were taken, make sure you specify no stamp if you're using them for immigration.

I know I didnt get that stamp when I had my passport photos taken here.....I'm wondering if they do that here in australia. I will find out I guess. My actual application for a passport had the stamps attached to it for me to adhere to the photos but that was it. When I had more done for the I-130 petition I didnt receive a stamp. Hmmmmmmmmm

It might just be a Canadian passport picture thing, that way they can justify the $12 for 2 pics

And I just re-read the original question...sorry, it's early

You'll need 1 for the I-129F, make a photocopy for the duplicate package, you've checked that your medical wants 3 pics (mine wanted 1) and I needed 2 at the interview. All those will be 2" x 2" and no stamp so Staples will be good for those. You'll have extras, make a collage!

Your Canadian passport will need 2 at whatever their specs are with the stamp.

Thanks for the response. The one I sent with my I129F had the stamp, I hope it does not end up being an issue.
