This is really meant for "girl 37", but I'd be equally curious to hear from others.

Girl 37, what was the RFE on your I-864 for? I'm getting mine together right now, and I'm curious to find out about potential stumbling blocks. Since you were very efficient in your process, I assume you were also pretty well prepared ... or at least thought you were!

Thanks,

Alice

Oh, and I called and got a case number from NVC today. Wednesday they didn't have me in the system yet, but today they did. For those of you with similar I-130 approval dates to mine, make note that CSC therefore apparently forwarded some cases after Oct 26. Fingers crossed for all of us!

Is there something significant about October 26? The CSC sent ours to the NVC after that date too.

Love your avatar, and your screen name!

The only reason why I singled out that date is because it's the date of our NOA-2. People have been posting about how slow the transfers from CSC to NVC have been, so I wanted to note for those with a similar time line that my I-130, approved on Oct 26, is already in the NVC system.

Best of luck to you in the next phase!

They can issue the RFE about anything like if there is a blank space and if they need more info about anything relevant.

hi simple male which of the forms did you use for the affidavit of support form I-864ER or I-864 REQUREMENT FOR CR-1 VISA

NVC mailed out the old I-864 to me. I think, they are mailing out the new I-864 and I-864EZ. If someone is using his income only and if he/she is sponsoring only one, then one can use I-864EZ.

 I haven't been reading the IR-1 / CR-1 forum too much lately, so I'm glad I caught this!

We didn't put "N/A" in one of the spaces. It didn't seem like anything was required. (I can't remember exactly which space it was.) It's best to follow simple male's advice and put something in *every* blank space, even if it's "N/A" or "none". You should be fine!

We followed James's shortcuts and other VJer's advice and had everything prepared well in advance, so each item was ready to send out right after the NVC generated the forms. We both proof-read everything, so we caught most of the mistakes well in advance. As long as you carefully prepare the required documents, you have a few extra $ to overnight the materials by USPS, the system's functioning well, and you don't get caught up in security checks, your petition should move through the NVC fairly quickly.

Good luck! :)

PS, I love your avatar too!
