Certificate of no Criminal Record from Korean Embassy Manila

Hi all,

For IR-1 Immigration Visa

My wife had worked in South Korea several years ago before we married. She went to the South Korean Embassy in Manila several weeks ago to apply for her Police Clearance and told them she had worked in South Korea before we married under her maiden name. They told her to fill out the application in her maiden name but to sign it in her present married name as that is now her legal signature. She filled out the application as instructed, gave them her passport size photos, her old passport number she used while working in South Korea (the passport itself was destroyed by flood long ago) and other required Reference numbers from when she worked in South Korea. They asked her for a photocopy of her present passport also which is in her married name which she gave them. Yesterday she picked up her Certificate from the South Korean Embassy, she noticed it said it was, (I am using fictitious names here) To: Ms. Vilma Rameriz MALDOH, with the last name being her married name but in all upper case letters. We were wondering why it was issued this way and not in her maiden name as she put on the application which would have been, Vilma G. Rameriz, or if the Vilma Rameriz was in reference to the maiden name, and the all upper case letters MALDOH was to show she is now married.

Sure got us confused

Anyone Else experience this

See attachment of this page of the Certification she emailed me today (which I have Altered to attach here)
