I need ideas on how to create a video for my love one

hey vj im trying to create a video for my finace that lives in the dominican republic. I wont be able to spend Valentines day with her but i definitely want to make a special video. does anyone have ideas or know about good videos in youtube that i can watch. any suggestion will be great.

We used to use Windows Movie Maker. It is a free download if you don't already have it installed.

I would suggest starting out with some sexy lingerie and performing a slow striptease dance. It would probably be a good idea for you to post it here first so we can give you some constructive feedback.

Valentine's has already passed, but it is still a sweet idea. I wouln't recommend any video that is sexually themed--you want to make a video, not porn or near porn, right? And EVERY video is just waiting to be seen by others....

Some suggestions might be to look through some wedding proposal videos. There are so many creative ways that folks have demonstrated their love and then popped that question that you should certainly find some great inspiration. Weddinator has a lot of great inspirations on it, too.

This is not a video idea, but I was thinking about putting a pretty jar or vase in the downstairs bathroom on the shelf with a title on it that says, "Why I love Carlos" and then have a note pad next to it where I can write down something every night after I brush my teeth and drop it in. This could be a great "discovery" for your other half to enjoy upon arrival.

ah ! so it's a lass in the D/R, not the other way round as SirSpooksALot was suggesting.

I'm sure she'd like to see a video of you doing housechores,

like:

1. mowing the grass

2. washing the dishes

3. folding the clothes

4. ironing the sheets

5. making the bed

6. cooking a meal for Mama

7. washing the Dog

etc etc. You get the idea, right? At the beginning of each segment - simply state 'Honey, I love you so much - look what I've learned to do to keep a happy home!' then at the end of each segment say 'I Love You So Much - I learned how to do all of this stuff because I Love You So Much ! '

then have some fast pumping music (tempo 120 or greater) as the music-over inside of each segment,

and (if you can) do a few fast-forward segments (suggest ironing sheets and making the bed as fast-motion segments)

then at the end, have a sappy love song.

I think you can make raw of about 110 minutes, then cut it to 40 minutes or so, redub'ing the music-over on the audio track or even a second audio track after your final video cut.

I did something similar (not for valentines day) when we purchased our first house in both names - her family was impressed and she stayed happy for a few months until I fly back to China ...

I spent about 11 hours from start to finish, over a week, with making the video. I storyboard, but it wasn't extensive - I was more interested in the time o day to get the right lighting outside and inside the house.

And yes, V Day is over - it'd be great to hear about what you actually did.

Good advice there.. anywhere you post it, someone could end up seeing it, and even if it's just on your computer, if someone ends up using your computer or you sell the computer later on, others could retrieve it/see it. So if you do make a vid, I would keep it simple and not put anything personal in it. There are other sweet things you can do on valentines day or other significant days.. Like calling a flower/gift company in your love's home country and paying for something via credit card/debit card or even paypal in some cases. They will deliver it for you.

Another cool idea is to watch a movie together on the phone, or go out and see the same movie on the same day and then talk about it on the phone.
