I met my fiance through an online game we played together. We've known each other about two years. We've been together about a year now. We've been together personally for about 2 months.

We first met in person, but mostly kept in touch by Internet, for almost two years until he came to the US on a J-1 (exchange worker) visa (I should add that the relationship started after he was offered the internship he came here for, but before he actually got the visa).

We got engaged two and a half months later (he proposed on the spur of the moment) and married two and a half months after that—and yes, that was faster than we'd wanted, but it was a six-month visa, so it was marry then or go through K-1, which seemed sort of silly since he was already there and we already knew we wanted to be together.

We actually kinda met online, but not really.

I was planning a trip to Africa, but didnt know anyone. Wanted a few tips, so I LITERALLY emailed 3 yahoo members at random to inquire about some Nigerian Hotels, Sites etc for my trip and he was one of them who replied. We just started emailing for about 2 months. Later he & his sister volunteered to show me around Nigeria and they email me an itenirary and stuff. One day he asked me to call him and I did. That call was about 2 mins long. I called him again about a wk later and he talked a bit more. We at this time were really opening up via email. He typed way 2 slow for chat, so we stuck to email. The phonecalls increased and feelings grew. About a month or 2 later feelings deepened. So its kinda like we met online, but it was no chat room nor any game room. We didn't go to dating sites or a chat rooms. One random email started it all.
