Will my file be transferred to a different local office as I have moved?

Hi all,

Tomorrow is 5 months of waiting for my NOA2. I have recently moved from Alabama (Atlanta local office) to Ohio (Columbus local office). I have updated my address on file with USCIS to my new Columbus address. They verified that change on Thursday. Does anyone know if my file can be transferred to the Columbus office now? I am trying to do anything I can to get my file out of the Atlanta office, as they have admitted that they have not even started processing any post August 15th files, whereas the Columbus office has been flying through the files. My case number starts with WAC as it initially was sent to CSC. I know when I first applied that after 5 months you could submit a service request. Can anyone tell me if I will be able to call and submit a service request or has the processing time changed again? Any thoughts on whether my file is/will be moved to the Columbus office will be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

2/24/16- Husband received 10 year green card

Starting the process over again for our daughter (IR2):

1/13/16 NOA1 from Potomac Service Center

4/5/16 NOA2!

4/7/16 Case sent to NVC

4/22/16 Received NVC Case and Invoice Numbers

4/22/16 Submitted DS-261

4/22/16 Invoice for AOS Received. Paid AOS Fee

4/25/16 AOS Fee shows as PAID

4/27/16 Invoice for IV Received. Paid IV Fee

4/29/16 IV Fee Shows as PAID

4/29/16 Submitted DS-260

5/6/16 Sent AOS and IV packages

5/9/16 AOS and IV packages received by NVC

5/9/16 Scan Date

6/10/16 Case Complete

8/8/16 Received Interview Date

9/20/16 Interview Date

In case anyone was interested, yes, my file will follow me to OHIO! I spoke to an ISO today who confirmed the file transfer and submitted a request for immediate file transfer from the dreaded Atlanta office to the Columbus office! Praise God for His goodness! At least I know the Columbus office has actually started processing I-130s, unlike the Atlanta office.

how do you know that atlanta local office not even start processing your case? did you ask from ISO? do they answer those type of questions?

I know because several Atlanta filers have been told that at infopass appointments that they have gone to at the Atlanta office. They have not even started processing any I-130s that were delivered there after August 15th. Yes, the ISO also told me that the ATL office is not processing files in a timely matter.
