She lost it!!! and filed a police report. Would that be an issue on Interview day?

Your wife needs to get another passport, the consulate will need her passport to put her visa in if she's approved. I don't see that it will be a problem about the old passport, if she is concerned about it just have her get a copy of the police report. I do remember for a non-immigrant visa it asks if you've ever had your passport lost or stolen, but I don't see this question on the DS 230.

I seem to remember my husband saying it takes a very short time to get a new passport in Morocco, so it shouldn't be an issue for you.
