NVC STAGE: Original Doc's or certified photocopies

Hi Friends,

I am the petitioner I am thinking to prepare for my Case in advance. MY PD is FEB 2011 not approved VSC.

I have one question ..in NVC Stage do i need to submit Original documents(birth certificate, Marriage certificate etc) or certified photocopies are fine.

Please guys let me know. Thanks!!

Either one is fine, but to get certified, you must have to get it from the same office where you would able to get the original one. In India, alot of officers do not understand this certified copy term, best option is that - Get a duplicate original copy, and better to submit the original one at NVC to avoid any RFE.

Thanks..based on your Reply I am thinking to submit Originals to NVC. Just worried when will i recieve those Originals?

They will return your all original docs at the time of interview.
