Hi Everybody,

We got NOA2 on Feb. 8, followed by an email saying this:

On February 11, 2013, we shipped this approved or re-affirmed case to the Department of State for visa processing. For more information, please contact them directly.

What does that mean? Is it different from the NVC? There was no information in the USCIS email saying how to contact the State Dept., just "contact them directly".

My husband is from Mexico, I'm the USC, and we live in Ireland. Does the Dept. of State mean the Embassy in Dublin?

I would love to know if anybody has had experience with this. Thanks!

Dept of state is not the NVC nor is it the US embassy. It is the dept of state. http://www.state.gov/

You can find the number to call on their contact us page. They should be able to give you information as to whats going on.
