Hi all,

I've tried to look for answers here but couldn't find it. So this is why I'm starting a new topic.

About me:

I've been in the states for 5 semesters now. I'm a student from Europe. I went to one college for 2 semesters, but got really bad grades. And had to transfer to another college.

I've been to this college for 3 semesters now, and have a very good GPA (Above a 3). But last semester I've got some bad news (family sickness) from home and decided that I'd go home this spring semester to be with my family. I did this because it started to interfere with my will to do schoolwork. I felt that taking a break would be the best option to not screw up my college career. I've been out of the country since the mids of December (i-94).

I had a meeting with the international director of my university a couple of months ago and we've talked about taking a semester off and coming back next semester (Fall), and this January the school terminated my I-20 with as note on my SEVIS that I won't be back because of family sickness. My Visa is valid until 2015 (As printed on it)

Now is my question, what if I apply for a new college, and get a new I-20, showed I payed my tuition and still get my funding. etc. What is my chance on a new Visa? And do I even have to apply for a new visa if I am able to get a new I-20 in the next couple of months (I know the 5 month rule). I really would like to continue my study this fall.
