Hi Didopage,

when you said the AP is free, we are well talking about the I-131 form? Because I checked on the uscis website and it says it is 360$ so I am confused about it, maybe I am not looking at the right form? thanks!

Yes, it's the I-131. The trick is to ALWAYS read the instructions for each form. They are on the USCIS page for the form.

Look at it (http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/i-131instr.pdf), on the "What is the filing fee section?", there is a note saying that if you paid the fee for form I-485 (AOS), then no fee is required for form I-131.

It is the same thing for form I-765 (EAD).

But you will have to send all 3 applications in the same package.

Ok thank you for the informations. That's right I was not much paying attention to the instructions forms, I'll make sure to read all of them before to fill the forms !

Hi !

I was having a look at the I-131 form and the instructions to fill it and I was wondering, did you write something in "information about your proposed travel"? As you told me you filled this document but didn't use it during the process, what did you write in this part ? WE were planning on visiting my family in France in august but nothing is planned at all, dates, flights,.......Thanks for your help!

Re-read the beginning of Part 3.

It asks for "Date of Intended Departure", you can write Unknown. It asks then for Expected Length of Trip, you can write Unknown again.

Then there's a little question where you check yes or no (most probably No), and then....

...

it says to SKIP to Part 7, as you are applying for an Advance Parole.

Your question is about Part 4, which you don't have to fill in.

In this form, there is a lot of parts to skip or there's nothing to fill in. That is why I said it was easy to complete. You basically just have to fill in Part 1, check box d on Part 2, Put Unknown twice and check one box in Part 3, check "More than one trip" in Part 7 (just in case), and to sign/date/give your phone # at the end. Pretty easy. :) Just follow the form slowly and follow the logic (is it to fill in? no.. then don't write anything... or in some case you put N/A)
