Anywhere from a month to whenever. There are people who are still waiting from Aug. Unless you are both abroad it's likely that the case will be sent to your local office. The order in which the cases are worked is very random because of this. It's also hard to get information about your case as well.

Our case has been handled at NBC and I believe it is pretty standard. USCIS took forever to send the packet to NVC and it took them a week to receive it. We had all of our documents ready and used the email version of the DS-3032 so as soon as the bill you for the AOS/IV (AOS first) you can send things off. Takes about a week for them to complete the case or give you an RFE.

NBC seems to have slowed down our case or just really messed it up. I think it is a mixed bag.

Mine took 106 days, which if you look at the other USCIS official processing timelines, the service centers are at about 5-6 months. I had happy to be at NBC and have it go relatively quickly, considering the alternative.

Just remember, it is the government. While these are our lives, I've worked for the government. There are a whole series of processes that they have to go through to get one single thing done. It may seem inefficient, but it's years of having to cover their behinds and ensure equanimity.

It really can be like the above answer stated, a month till whenever. I am past four months going into five. Yet, some people who filed AFTER me have already received NO2 at the same center. same visa type. So there is no really telling what or how they are processing it. Even less when we will be approved. I actually called to ask an estimate for the processing time, and they said that they themselves don't even know. I think I may even call again and ask for a tier 2 person next month, when I am actually at 5 months. Because not even having an estimate date of approval notice has me so anxious! I hate it!!!

..

Hopefully you will have better luck, and yours will only take a few months though

I think the other thing to keep in mind is that the NBC isn't the normal processing site for I-130s, which is why there is no estimate. At first I thought there was some ulterior reason for our case transferring there, but I was told that it was likely because the normal service centers were so backed up. In addition to the 130s, they have to process the cases that they normally handle. So in reality, there's no guarantee that it's better. It just happened to work out well for me.
