When you look back after it is all over, it won't seem to take that long, until you look at the pictures of when you first met, after five years of marriage. First thing you will notice, is how much the process has aged the both of you.

Exactly you r 100% right :)

Increased patience (does checking status constantly count against you ;)) But most importantly I am learning the true meaning of "God's timing". We thought we would be done oh back in September. Lost case, missing and lost undeliverable documents and months later I am learning its His timing not mine and his is always perfect. So I'm just flowin with God now. Oh but what a ride it is.

I totally agree with you. Everytime me and my fiancee planned something it never happen. But when we let God take control everthing went to smoothly. I so defintely learned how to let go let God and soon we will be married. Its all about Gods timing not ours.

I have found myself having less patience with other things while waiting on the petition decision. I feel sorry for those that I have snapped at over the last few weeks. To include my sweetheart, she is the paitent and positive one between us. Not very typical for a filapina but then I am very lucky to have her in my life.

Well at first I had 0% patience but quickly learned that you have no choice but to find it somewhere on this journey...then I was cool calm and collect in the middle of the journey but now that we are near the end....I am more anxious and impatient then I was when we started LOL....but it's not the same kind of anxiousness I guess....I just want to know our interview date! lol

I'm always on the edge, it took almost 8 months before we got NO2 approval and I thought our application @USCIS was some how accidently shredded. Me and God have had plenty of conversations with me begging and crying< 'why is it taking so long?"...there are people who have been approved way before us, but I finally realize that everyone's situation is different. If you get approved fast/early...then GOD BLESS YOU!!!

Waiting gives me anxiety, especially when I can't do anything but wait, but my patience has definitely increased.

We just started AOS, and after the whole K1visa journey, I feel more calmed.

At least during AOS you can be together on your K-1 visa. You should check out my 400 day wait time. And at no fault of my own! They didn't even ask us anything at the interview, so that proves even further that our case wasn't that complicated.

Oh, and she does not have TB... but a scar since as long as I knew her. If we were allowed to do her medical sooner, I would have!

My patience has somewhat INCREASED because at this point it has been so long and so many changes have occured, sometimes I feel a little "in la la land." I have not seen my fiance (except for Skype- does THAT count?) since July 6. I have seen seasons come and go, my son go from being a 3 week old newborn to a crawling, walking ,teething 8 month old . I have experienced the passing of my father a week ago, and the anxiety of "everything else." At this point , I am preparing for "what's next?!" It is very hard to wait and not have my "other 1/2" with me to witness and be the immediate support system( NO ! Skype does NOT replace that person being by your side).....so to refer back to the question....YES - waiting has made me more patient, because at some points I can't believe I am still in this process just to be able to share my love with my mate (in person) and have the in house support system.

I hear that , and thank you for that comment. I am seriously trying hard to let God take control and sit back and ......wait. In reality, that is all we can do. This has been a time for a lot of changes in my life, and a lot of growing up for us both. Without God, I would seriously be completely lost right about now !

I think it goes like this:

I'm sorry to hear of your loss. We went through the same thing with losing my dad while being on separate continents and it was hard. Your relationship will grow stronger with this time apart even though it might not seem like it. I think it comes and goes in waves with all things. For me, I found the hardest after losing a parent came months after when I went to go call and forgot that he wasn't there. Then, I was glad that my husband was by my side. At least you can take comfort in knowing that for the hard times that will come up after he comes, that he will be there.

My patience has definitely increased. I thank God for this because it is only he that has humbled me to this point. Although my husband has to return to the embassy with another document that was requested by the embassy, I thank God anyway because he knows just what he's doing. Secondly, this journey is long and tiring but when I think about what is at stake, it's all worth it for a lifetime with "Ma Love".

I think it has made me more inpatient. I try to be patient and ignore it but it won't go away...haha I keep thinking that when this is all over I will live a stress free life...but probably not..haha

My husband (USC) keeps telling me to leave it in God's hands....I try but I don't alway succeed :-(

But I will be glad when it is all over.
