I was told by my lawyer that when I receive the DHL package, inside there's a confirmation sheet, that I must send to ciudad Juarez consulate along with my passport, where the consulate will open the package with the confirmation sheet and your passport and they will put it into their system that you were pardoned, the approved waiver, then they would stamp or seal your passport with a temporary permanent residence and then they will mail it back to you at your DHL office, you pick up the package, open it, check your passport, and you will be able to leave immediately to the us... When you leave make sure you have all your paperwork with you when you leave Mexico. Wherever you arrive in the us, you might've question by immigration, don't worry, show all your paperwork, and they will put you into the system, your first entry to the us, once they put you in the system, you should receive in the mail the actual permenant residence card....your good to go....that's what I know.... I'm still waiting for the approved waiver.....good luck....let me know how it goes....

It can take anywhere between 7-14 business days....at least that is what I was told, you can do either, but I suggest you take a direct flight from Mexico to LAX, it's safer and faster....I will be taking a direct flight from Monterrey to Chicago, as soon as I have my passport stamped in my hands, I told my husband that I didn't care taking a late night flight, I just wanted to be home with him and my babies ASAP....lol.....thanks for the support....it is very stressful and my patience is running low, but I am so happy for you and to know that I am more closer than I was to receive a response....keep me posted....

Congratulations on the approval! That is wonderful news! Our waiver was received on November 14th through the lockbox, so I'm hoping we hear something within the next month.

If you don't already know about it, check out www.immigrate2us.net. Just about everyone there is going through the I-601 waiver process. You can check in the Mexico section to see what people have reported about visa processing post-lockbox approval.

Met June 2009, Carlos returned to Guatemala in March 2010, engaged May 2011, hardship waiver, denial, three years of separation, second waiver, APPROVED!, finally back in the U.S. in May 2013, married June 2013, permanent resident January 2014, and at long last, a citizenship on October 17, 2019.  Our immigration journey has finally come to an end!
