Vaccinations, Ciudad Juarez

So my wife's case has been transferred to NVC but no case number has been assigned yet (it's still somewhere in the mail room I guess). Since she's in Mexico her case will most likely be handled at the Ciudad Juarez Consulate.

I've heard many different things about vaccinations including: a) the consulate does not care if you've had them already, they'll give them to you anyway; b) the consulate validates vaccinations on the social security card (that person's vaccination record); and finally c) if you've had vaccinations recently, the consulate will make you wait 3 months and give them to you again (not sure if you're given the visa and allowed to enter USA or made to wait in Mexico).

My wife wanted to get her vaccinations this week but I told her to hold off until we found out what the best thing to do is, get them now, at her clinic for much lower cost, or get then at the clinic at the consulate. Your advice is much appreciated!

You should check the Ciudad Juarez consulate website for a list of required vaccinations. I had my wife take as many as possible before her interview that was on February 8th. All I know is that somehow, applicants always end up with "missing" vaccinations. My wife was supposedly missing 3 vaccinations, so the total bill ended up being about $5,000 thousand pesos (including the $190 dollar mexical exam). I highly recommend having her take them BEFORE the appointment, el Centro de Salud has them for Free. You could save a couple hundred dollars, as my wife said vaccines are pretty expensive.

May 17, 2012 - Received NOA1 in the mail

Sorry i went back to where i saw the 3 mo. waiting time, and it was actually 1 week. It's in one of the reviews of the CDJ consulate. What are the required vaccinations? I see many listed and then some they offer and others they do not. Does she require all of the vaccinations listed? Or just the ones that they offer? They list many vaccinations, their prices, and availability but never do they specify which ones are actually needed. Is it all of them? some? Have a look.

Your advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you

Does anyone have any further information on which ones are the "required" vaccinations? It would be really helpful to know in advance.

Thank you.

O.k. So after about two hours of searching I found this topic http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/154863-vaccinations-requirements-for-ciudad-juarez-mexico/?p=2275448 started in 2008 which implied that vaccinations are not required at Ciudad Juarez for the K1 Visa.

I would greatly appreciate hearing from others who have had a more recent experience with this.

Thank you.
