So my fiance called today again and they are still on 18th July. They said to him that even if he called the senator, that would slow down our process. They said he can only file for a service request when our date is past due. Like when they start working on 6th August and after.

This whole slowing down is so depressing. I cannot concentrate at work.. I cry the whole time.. I mean, right now I would be married and enjoying my love. Most of my vj friends got approved within 2-4 months.

Sigh......

My gosh, that's crazy. I hope the person your fiance talked to was just quoting off the same chart that we see (December 31st data that was posted on Feb. 5th). I mean if they didn't make one day of progress in a month and a half, then it will take forever to get approved.

What do you mean by calling the senator it will slow down the process? I am pretty sure they can help us more than anything.

What they likely meant is they are currently so overwhelmed that they haven't got to anyone in your timeframe yet. So it's not a problem with your particular application per se. Hopefully he was indeed just reading off the chart, and being only tier 1 it is likely. At least you are on the edge of being approved. That thing about calling the senator... sounds like they just didn't want to deal with it. Can't imagine it will hurt. I'm glad you are getting off this train pretty soon. I have a feeling those of us much behind you are in for a bumpy ride.

Thank you very much. Yes, he was connected with a tier 1 he said. The person didn't want to connect him with tier 2 because we aren't past our date.. lol

I'm confused. What does that mean, once they start working on K1 again? Don't they do that all the time?

I am starting to believe that they have stopped working on K1 for a little while. When i joined in september some july people were already getting approved. And here we are in february... still on july....
