Hey Guys

Its been 27 days since i got this case update

Your I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS is now ready for interview scheduling. When scheduling is complete, you will receive a notice with a time and place for your interview. If you have not received the notice within 30 days of the date the notice is mailed, please call customer service at 1-800-375-5283 for further assistance. Please check our website at www.uscis.gov for further updates on your case. If you move, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address.

and still no letter, should i wait the full 30 days or could i call now?

Wait the full 30 days. They will just say "it hasn't been 30 days yet."

I think the 30 days apply to once your appointment is scheduled and the letter sent, not to the statusupdate itself.

CoS from J1 to F1 now AoS

Day 00 - 01/02/2013 sent AOS package via USPS

Day 02 - 01/04/2013 package arrived in the am *patiently waiting for more*

Day 05 - 01/07/2013 received text messages for all 4 forms

Day 06 - 01/08/2013 checks been cashed

Day 08 - 01/10/2013 received NOAs for all four forms

Day 12 - 01/14/2013 received appointment letter for biometrics on 02/01/2013 but completed biometrics the same day

Day 27 - 01/29/2013 received email that our case is ready to be scheduled for an Interview :)

Day 29 - 01/31/2013 received an email that our Interview will be on March 6 2013!!!!!!!!!

Day 33 - 02/04/2013 received hardcopy of interview letter

Day 62 - 03/05/2013 EAD/AP approved

Day 63 - 03/06/2013 scheduled interview appointment - APPROVED

Day 66 - 03/09/2013 I130 & I485 Approval noitces arrived in the mail

Day 70 - 03/13/2013 EAD/ AP combo card arrives in the mail

Day 71 - 03/14/2013 Greencard arrives yay!!!

Read the notice carefully, the 30 days refers to after you've been scheduled for an interview and a letter has been mailed to you. I'm sure it doesn't hurt to call but what you should do is seek out other Atlanta filers to be able to gauge how soon interviews are scheduled.

AOS from B2 visa
11/13/12, Day 000-Mailed AOS package (I-130, I-485, I-765) to Chicago lockbox.
11/17/12, Day 004-Package delivered to Chicago lockbox.
11/21/12, Day 008-Text & email received for all 3 forms.
11/23/12, Day 010-I-130 & I-485 checks cashed.
11/26/12, Day 013-NOAs received for I-130, I-485, I-765.
12/05/12, Day 022-Biometrics appointment (12/20) NOA received.
12/06/12, Day 023-Successful Walk-in biometrics @ Brooklyn ASC.
12/18/12, Day 035-Online case status available (I130-initial review; I1765-initial review; I485-testing and interview)
01/22/13, Day 070-Notice of EAD approval via text & email.
01/25/13, Day 073-EAD card production.
01/28/13, Day 076-EAD mailed.
01/30/13, Day 078-EAD received.
04/01/13, Day 139-Text and email notification for May 6th interview received.
05/06/13, Day 171-Interview @ Federal plaza, NYC. Further review but we're highly favored biggrin.png

your application becomes interview ready as soon as all your documents are reviewed and your background checks are cleared. then it is sent to local office and each local office has its own backlog of applications so depending on your office, you may schedule in a matter of days after the initial status change or maybe few months.

and Atlanta is one of the relatively slow offices.
