By virtue of these midterms alone? No. He is not. He isn't a lame duck unless he makes himself one. He still has the bully pulpit of President. That he doesn't really know how to use it is another question altogether.

His nature is not to work with people. If he continues this, then there will be grid-lock, thereby making him a lame duck because he would not accomplish anything if he doesn't comprimise.

I don't think he vetoed a single bill in 6 years. But now, the veto pen is probably on his desk already. I hope that I am wrong about this.

Of course, the two examples of my Canada-specific third definition of "lame duck", the ruling party had LAME leader appointed to oversee the defeat (one retained seat and proved lame in a second election, other lost that too).

As to whether he was LAME before, that's really outside the glister of this poll.
