POE review:

Chicago, O'Hare

The most shocking thing..... I was informed that I have to complete 10 full calendar days to be able to apply for the social security number...

Someone on a short vacation like me should be aware of this...extending vacation is too crucial back in the country where I live...so please pay good attention to this

That's really interesting, to activate a CR-1/IR-1 visa whilst being on vacation.

When do you think you'll actually settle into the USA?

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

ok. I will keep you updated, while you don't need it, there is one remaining week ahead of you, and more ahead of my sister.

and yes. you have to send an email to them.

don't expect them to call you and say, hey congrats, your AP is over...

prepare an email, full of your case´s details, and send them once a week, and make it on Sunday (I hope you will not need it, but just in case).

just make sure you leave a clear contact number, a mobile or 2, and put the case number in the subject line...

dont forget to wait a bit more than 60 days to do this.... this is very crucial...

best of luck with my compliments...

Hi Rami, hope u r fine and enjoying your time.

As per your advice about the inquiry email after 60 days; yesterday I have sent an email to the embassy and I was surprised to receive the response on the same day. This is what was received "There are no new updates on status of your case, as soon as we are able to move forward with your case we will contact you immediately." crying.gif

It seems that will take longer time than expected.
