IR5 Original Documents weren't returned during (or after) interview

Hello, my mom just had an interview for her IR5 Visa Application on Jan 29 (after 6 months medication) because she failed her first medical exam (late May 2012). She passed the interview, but when she asked for the original documents back (Petitioner Birth Cert, Petitioner Marriage Cert, etc) the interviewer said they will keep them for now... Anyway she already got her Visa through mail but still no original documents.

Did any of you experience this? I just want my original documents back.

The passport with visa is delivered together with the visa packet (yellow envelope that contains documents).

She should NOT open the yellow envelope. She will submit the yellow envelope to the immigration officer at POE.

They won't return your documents.

Hi Apple thank you for the reply. When I called NVC before, they specifically told me the original (like my marriage certificate, it is not a certified copy) and other certified copy birth certificates, will be returned during interview. Even when I had my K1 visa petition before they returned my original documents back. That is why I am concerned because I want the original marriage cert back.
