It's with great trepidation and heaviness of heart that I welcome Andie from New Zealand to our small group of mourners. :P

On a more serious note....I have read a lot of your earlier posts from the March thread. I'm an April filer so back a few months ago when I thought it was time for my number to be called I would look over the March and April threads just to see what was happening with other peoples petitions. Of course the longer this went and the less and less original people were still hanging around their threads, you were one of the few that remained in March. So anyway since we neither one had been approved, I would occasionally go back to the March thread just to see if you ever had been approved. Best of luck to you........I am about to go in for my second infopass although I don't really believe much of anything we do makes any difference. I've contacted congressmen, senators, done multiple calls to USCIS service center, tier 2 a number of times etc. Seems the typical response is "wait 30-60 days and if you don't hear anything put in another service request". Kind of sadly funny in a way, wait 60 days to put in another service request to wait another 60 days. One of the requests I put in actually came back with a response to wait 6 months before inquiring again LOL. Well enough rambling for now. Let us know if anything changes with your status.

:( .... so, any suggestions?

.... anyway, thanks Lyricalan and best of luck with your upcoming Infopass meeting.

( btw, what was the outcome of the Senator and Congressman requests? Did they do anything on your behalf? )

The Congressman and the Senator's offices both did send in inquiries to VSC. There were replies given in a reasonably short time on each occasion. But for the most part the responses were similar in nature to the responses I have gotten from the various service requests I have made. Things like further processing is required or we are waiting on xxxxxfile to be delivered to our office etc. Each response though included "please wait 30-60 days" or something of that nature. So I don't really think anything was accomplished by contacting these agencies, but my experience certainly could be different than your's or someone else's. No harm can come from it for sure so you might as well try those avenues as well. This is really a frustrating experience and the non information is appalling. Wish I could offer more constructive advice or suggestions.

I really feel for you all and hope you get some kind of good news very soon. I must admit that this is one group I hope I never become a member of. Again, all the best.

Today officially marks 374 days of waiting or just over one year. I have gone through every emotion possible during this long tedious wait but I now know that my approval is coming very soon. I had an interview with imigration from the local immigration office a few weeks ago and the officer approved my petition. The downside is that she sent it back to CSC which can take up to 60 days to be processed for me to recieve my approval. So here comes the super elite group of 400 days to get my NOA2 approval, I hope that everyone waiting as long as me has had some headway to their case good luck.

Well over 1 year is outrageous but I'm heading towards that mark myself. Did you have unusual or extenuating circumstances concerning your case? Good luck to you

No My case was cut and dry but immigration decided to hassle me because I was married before for ten years and I had sponsered my previous wife from Mexico. So they seemed to think that their was potential marriage fraud present especially being in the military but after I presented them with an abundance of proof they decided that I was fine to get approved. My immigration lawyer had told me that they are not even supposed to use previous cases against you unless their was criminal charges but this just shows you that immigration does what they want to whom ever they want.

Well to be honest we don't really know what's happened. The last we knew he had already had 3 Infopass meetings which unravelled (once again) the fact that they kept mixing up our 2011 petition and our 2012, but the Supervisor who seemed quite onto it, finally said he had everything - he had put it all in order and we didn't need to provide any other information - it was all quite clearly there in their system. He was sending it off and we should expect to hear within a few weeks. (We've heard this before with Vermont Tier 2's however  ). That was just before Xmas and we had arranged to meet in Canada). We half expected to get some good news when we both returned home. Since then he has spoken to an Immigration lawyer who said that the Supervisor who was handling our file has since left that office. :o

I guess it just got thrown back in the pile ... who knows?

Its been a particularly busy start to the year, but we have put all our information together, timeline etc. and there is an Infopass meeting booked for later this week. We have no issues - nothing that should delay our situation - just lost somewhere in the 'system'. We did pretty well for a very long time but now ... yea its really tough.

Unfair ? ... absolutely !

Thanks for all your support everybody  ... I'm just looking to the day when I can report some happy news.

No.. nothing at all. The worst thing I've ever done is get a parking ticket (well, several actually, but all fines paid on time. )

No... not at all - we are putting our case together for our local rep.. nothing from USCIS. Hope to have more info soon.

Have you contacted your reps again with an update? ..... this is just so bad - surely after all this they have to do more to help.
