Ok here's the new club. I already feel sorry for you if you join because this kind of waiting is brutal. I technically can't be a member until Thursday the 14th, Valentines Day. Ironic huh? Share your stories here. Good luck to all waiting that join this thread.

I am currently at 361 days but should be getting my approval any day now. I just had to have an interview which is somewhat unheard of but oh well. My finace will have another interview down in Brazil as well, I think immigration is starting to go a little crazy with all these petitions they are going through.

I think I may be facing an interview as well at my local USCIS office. How did your interview go and what type of questions or information did they have for you?

All of the questions that they had were in regards to my previous marriage. They wanted to confirm there was no marriage fraud because I had sponsored her from Mexico but I had been married to her for over ten years. They also wanted to see continuing correspondence and how we speak on a daily basis. Once I showed them all my paperwork and proof she was very nice and said she would go head and finish my file by next week and get it approved so I can reunite with my soon to be new wife.

Thanks for the information. I believe my issue is because my fiancee had been petitioned previously and there was some overlap in the petitions. Somewhat unusual situation but her relationship with the former person was on the outs but he filed anyway except he sent in a very incomplete package. Very soon after he sent the petition in their relationship officially ended but he never withdrew the petition. He got an RFE months later and never even responded to that, so after a year USCIS finally denied the petition but during this time I had filed my petition. Although I knew she had been previously petitioned, I didn't know the time frame until well after I filed mine. I problaby would have filed anyway since this was all new to me and at the time didn't know anything about the K-1 visa proccess other than what I had learned from the USCIS website. So I haven't been asked to come in yet but I am assuming that will be the next step since my petiton has recently transferred to my local office.

It's with great trepidation and heaviness of heart that I welcome Andie from New Zealand to our small group of mourners. :P

On a more serious note....I have read a lot of your earlier posts from the March thread. I'm an April filer so back a few months ago when I thought it was time for my number to be called I would look over the March and April threads just to see what was happening with other peoples petitions. Of course the longer this went and the less and less original people were still hanging around their threads, you were one of the few that remained in March. So anyway since we neither one had been approved, I would occasionally go back to the March thread just to see if you ever had been approved. Best of luck to you........I am about to go in for my second infopass although I don't really believe much of anything we do makes any difference. I've contacted congressmen, senators, done multiple calls to USCIS service center, tier 2 a number of times etc. Seems the typical response is "wait 30-60 days and if you don't hear anything put in another service request". Kind of sadly funny in a way, wait 60 days to put in another service request to wait another 60 days. One of the requests I put in actually came back with a response to wait 6 months before inquiring again LOL. Well enough rambling for now. Let us know if anything changes with your status.
