MY bhabi's interview was at new delhi on Jan 18. My brother flew down for the interview and went with her. They didn't look at any of the pictures or ask many questions. Just asked some basic questions like was this arranged marriage or loved? were your in-laws there? where do your in-laws live? After that they kept the passport and gave her a sheet that said she is being put in administrative processing and that it would take 3-4 weeks.

We are confused, its been 3 weeks we have heard nothing. And they hadn't asked for any documents. Anybody know whats going on or how long this is going to take?

It could be for name-check/background check, etc. Timeframe is not certain for AP, it can take a week to years. It all depend up to each individual case. Just pray and wait.

The same thing happened to my husband. The interview was very simple and straight forward. They did not ask for any pictures or call records. He was given the same paper now we are in AP for 9 months and counting.

You have mentioned that they kept her passport...

That is a good news....

You can expect a short AP because they have kept her passport. Hopefully soon...

That is what I wish for....a short AP. But the not knowing is hard. I just wish I knew why we were even in AP

Pease don't scare me. Don't say that. I hope you hear back soon and we don't get stuck in ap either.

My husband's passport was returned after a month and half....122 days and still waiting.....

Was there something unusually about your guys cases that made them get stuck in Ap for so long? I HATE Ap

There is nothing unusual....but verification was required which was completed in December...other than nothing unusual.
