Just a general question...... (F)

I have a job opportunity in Las Vegas in my profession, and I am wondering if there is a certain amount of time you have before you can move to another state? My husband, pending the approval of his visa (MONDAY) :D , is already up for the move as soon as possible. He has many opportunities in Vegas, too. I have sooo much family there and they have been looking for him. He is getting work references and personal references and stuff like that from people there. He can get references from the family and friends that are here, too.

I know that he has to apply for a social security card and we have 3 months to get married (right?), so once the initial "stuff" has been taken care of, can we go?

Is there a website or something I can go to for pertinent details on this, or should I call some agency like USCIS?

PLUS..... He's never seen the snow, and I'm sure that once he gets a feel of the frigidness that is the winter here, he will prefer thre sunshine and the heat there more. Just my assumption actually, I will prefere the sun and the heat! :P

He asked me if he can jog in the winter............. , not unless you wnat to freeze to death!

Hey Sarah, we would be neighbors........ sorta!

I just want to be somewhere that has a lot to offer him by since he has no history here. Settlin for "anything" is not an option. This is what he said, not me. I love that about him!

Anyway, any, knowledge and replies are greatly appreciated. (F)(L)

Looking forward to 'em.........

Pray with me Forrest! Dear God, make me a bird so I can fly far. Far, far away from here..... Dear God, make me a bird so I can fly far. Far, far away from here!

I don't think it matters if you move...

I don't think it matters, but don't you have to give someone a change of address?? Not just the post office . . . I think i've seen topics about doing that.

Your might want to do a search on some other forums to check on changing your address.

I would move then do the AOS paperwork. As you have read from others that have move, the process does not go in their favor because they are not getting the lettes from USCIS.

that is an incentive to run more :P

in the military we did physical training even during the winter. snow, rain, etc. as long as he's careful and not too far from assistance if he does slip and get hurt.

Hey thanx and all this talk about me moving has been put on hold until who knows when...... I am still playing the waiting game... :( :(

I have already called Las Vegas and declined the position...... but anyway, I have more important things to focus on.....Its the same day as my husbands interview, (which I still dont know what to make of it yet). It has nor truly settled in my mind the my husband will more than likely not be here for new years, probably not even Valentines day, or our birthdays.

I am expecting a letter from the approved I-130, and I am just lost and stuck right now. I feel like a ping-pong ball just bumping into the walls and going nowhere!

ALL I CAN DO IS PRAY................. LIKE I HAVE NEVER PRAYED B4!

Pray with me Forrest! Dear God, make me a bird so I can fly far. Far, far away from here..... Dear God, make me a bird so I can fly far. Far, far away from here!
