thanks,

We took 5 pictures and they weren't even looked at.

I don't think you need a heap of pictures, maybe a couple from each special event (marriage, holiday, etc).

I feel more important than pictures is evidence of "co-mingling" like assets, health insurance etc.

Follow the letter they gave you and you should be set :)

Well, IO vary Xanax...Our IO did not look at any assets, or bank accounts, or health insurnace, car insurance #######...she ONLY, like I say, ONLY, looked at the photo album. We took a bunch of other #######, but she did not even ask about it, did not even look at it, but asked for our photos, and I gave her the photo album, introduced the peeps on the picture, who his who, where was this taken, when was this taken, and at the end she said we're approved without thinking again to look at our documents. I could have gone there with only the photo album...so I think it is better to be overprepared, and count on that each and every piece is equally important. For some officers, bank statements and these are far more important than photos, while others priorities photos over assets, bank accounts...so I still highly recommend Jordan dog to take a photo album along...it is better to be over prepared than IO asking for photo album and he/she can only provide 5 photos and have a hard time proving that their relationship is legitimate. So, again big dog, take a photo album along with the documents...it is better to be over prepared, then under prepared! Good luck!

The pics are about at least 200+ . I still need to go tomorrow and print some of the 'ongoing' trips we took over the past few months since she's been in the US.

Hey Jordan dog: Good...I pulled in a canon and a big tank! ;) It was not needed, but I definitely felt better knowing I have everything she may want to dream of, so she cannot screw us over. Good luck, and let us know how it went! I'll cross my fingers for you guys! :)

If you take what is required/ requested of you , documents/ photos and all that jazz you should be fine. 150 photos aren';t required nor is 1000 assests held jointing. This application process really does seem to become quite convoluted, our IO said "KISS is the key" Keep, it , simple, stupid ( well, rather we did and she agreed stating people bring way too much "#######") :P Who wants to look through 100s of pages , photos or documents?

Again, OP , follow the letter with the "requirements" and you will be fine, photos are handy dandy but they are generally secondary evidence to other things anyway. Don't stress and don't let people tell you, you need piles of mountains of things when you don't if you just follow USCIS guidelines and rules :)

I am not here to childishly argue, so you decide OP...you heard both sides of the opinions....and I will still cross my fingers for you either way. :) All the best!

I am not arguing with you at all and I don't particularly appreciate the insinuation I am trying to childishly argue. I simply do not believe one needs to go overboard with pictures. I have merely pointed out that following the guidelines should yield a successful result and stated my personal experience (as you did). Ater-all I followed the USCIS letter and guidelines as I believe the majority of people have done and I had a successful result.

Similarly after much researching on VJ and throughout the internet I read countless accounts of how people took folders and albums and mountains of things that were not even looked at and after talking to our IO I realized it was not needed :)

Either way, good luck OP, I am sure if you have a valid relationship and follow the guidelines of what is requested you will have a favourable result!

And AnotherLostSoul, please do not take what I say as a slight, I merely believe there are guidelines for a reason. I would similarly appreciate you not inferring that I am "childish" and or trying to argue as I am not :) I am sure the OP appreciates our varying opinions and there is no need to get personal.

Thanks !! good luck to you as well ! original birth certificate is a requirement for me and i ran into this a month ago as i thought i had her originals with me but turned out i don't ! We had to have my wife's brother in Jordan go to the registrar office and produce an original one and mail it.

i will def update you all and fill in my review for Houston !

I do have a question though - my I130 was already approved ( as i filed seperately initially) - does that give us a good edge to start off with?
