How long did it take...

My husband is here in the US. He entered as a student, and is applying for AOS and EAD. Here is our timeline so far:

11-4-06 sent AOS and EAD forms to USCIS

11-6-06 forms received by USCIS

So how long did it take for you to receive your EAD? What's the next step? If you've had any difficulties along the way what were they?

Thanks,

Elizabeth

Look up the processing dates on the USCIS website. The next step is that you will receive the NOAs for the applications. Then you will have your biometrics (I mean hubbie's) taken. After 3 months the EAD should be approved (it is anywhere between 2 and 6 months, but 3 months is average). Click on processing dates on the visa journey site (navigation bar) to get the link to the USCIS website to find about official estimated waiting times and to see what happened to people on this websiete click on immigration timelines to see how fast/slow VJ members got their approvals.

Good luck!

I also entered as F-1, but I didn't apply AP or EAD cuz they cost too much.

From the day I sent everything to Chicago to the interview day, it took around 70 days.

I just got approved.

Make sure you have as many joint asset statement as possible! My interviewer only asked for that and I gave him 6 joint asset proof.

Good luck!

I am wondering what does the joint asset constitutes of? I have joint bank accounts and shared real estate. Anything else that they would ask for as joint asset?

Thanks
