Congrats to everyone who passed the itnerview. It is sad but everytime I look at this thread I get upset. I am still wating for my interview to be scheduled. The status was updated to "inline for scehduling" on May 8th...

My interview was schedule at 12.45 pm monday june 16 and i Arrive there at 12.50, there were around 30 people at the waiting room, i wait till 1.50 when the lady call my name, she ask me how was my day while we were walking to her office, first she told me to rise my right hand to the swear,
Then she said she need my drivers licence, green card, passport , and ssn then you can take a sit,
she said we are going to start with the history and civic test
- how many amendments does the constitution have¿
-who makes federal laws¿
-What is the name of the vice president of the united states now
-What is the highest court in the united states
-What group of people was taken to america and sold as slaves
-Why did the colonist fight the British
after that the reading and writing test
The sentence to read was
-who can vote
Then she gave me a sheet to write the answer that she said to me
-Citizens can vote
After that she said congratulations you pass the civic and history test
And star reviewing my N-400 and asking for every single question
After that she said you are approve to the oath
She gave me my photos and said that i have to sign it
Later she gave a ,letter saying congratulations you are being approve for a naturalization, she ask what do you prefer for the oath ceremony to receive a notice to do the oath on 4 to 5 weeks or i can put you this Thursday at 1 pm, i said as soon as possible, then she gave me a letter saying the time my name and the place for the ceremony which it was at the same office in one room for the ceremony that they have on the first floor the same building.
she congratulate me and walk with me to the door of the waiting room it was about 20 minutes what i spend in my interview.
on june 20 i went to the same building were i had my interview at 1 and did my oath ceremony and i got my certificate!!! now i am a us citizen smile.png

This question is to those who received their interview letter. When they send the interview letter does anything change in the case status webpage? Specifically is it still "testing and interview" when ther send the letter.

it will stay that way until you passed the interview. then it goes to decision after 2-3 days (in my case) , then when they sent to oath letter, it changes to Oath Ceremony.

What!!!! 3 months??? Have you called them back and requested a service request??? or even an info pass?? This is not normal..

Well.... after 6 weeks I called the 800 number and after a long speech, when I finally could ask my question, they told me to keep waiting, because there is no time frame to re schedule the biometrics appt.

Second, I tried to send an e request, but I couldn't because my case is still within the time frame.

Third, I tried to schedule an info pass (and hopes of getting the biometrics done at the same time), and I get it at a different office from the one the appt was scheduled. I live in the middle of WI, I had to go to Milwaukee for the biometrics, now for the infopass they send me to St Paul, MN. Travel time to Milwaukee 3 1/2 hrs. to St Paul about the same.

Getting tired and frustrated. I am going to call once more, to see if I can get someone more helpful on the phone. If not, I see I will have to wait till the 5 months (time frame for the case) is over, then I can do the service request.

Second, I tried to send an e request, but I couldn't because my case is still within the time frame.

Third, I tried to schedule an info pass (and hopes of getting the biometrics done at the same time), and I get it at a different office from the one the appt was scheduled. I live in the middle of WI, I had to go to Milwaukee for the biometrics, now for the infopass they send me to St Paul, MN. Travel time to Milwaukee 3 1/2 hrs. to St Paul about the same.

Getting tired and frustrated. I am going to call once more, to see if I can get someone more helpful on the phone. If not, I see I will have to wait till the 5 months (time frame for the case) is over, then I can do the service request.

USCIS is very regimented and formulaic. Everything goes well when things follow prescribed procedures. Any exceptions, even very minor ones like rescheduling biometrics and they can't handle it.

Sorry to see what you are going through. Was there a good reason that you didn't just try to do a walk-in early biometric?

Sorry to see what you are going through. Was there a good reason that you didn't just try to do a walk-in early biometric?

I didn't even know you could do such a thing (walk-in biometric), till I found this board when searching for any clue about how long the delay for rescheduling could be. Having to lose work and drive almost 4 hrs each way to the local office, with the chance to be turn away, is not something I was ready to do. Now that I tried to use infopass and they send me to a different office from the one the biometrics was scheduled, I am even more confused.

I have a problem. It has been 5 weeks since I am in line for the interview, did not receive the letter and I am moving this weekend to a new apartment (close to my old address although technically another city within the same state).

I called the 1-800-375-5283 number yesterday but they told me I have to inform them AFTER I move to my new apartment. She told me post office may or may not forward the interview letter. She recommended that I talk to the post office to have them hold my letters for me (which may or may not happen). I also submitted the AR-11 form on Wednesday knowing it will reach the VA address on Friday.

If post office does not forward the interview letter to me (assuming it is on the way right now) what are my options? Would they send me another letter to my new address if the letter is returned to them? Is there a way to find out if they have set up the interview other than the interview letter? Could this cause further delays?
