Dear Friends,

My wife is US CITIZEN and filling out form I 130. We are confused about q- 22.

Question is:

If your relative in the US and will apply for adjustment of status to that of lawful permanent resident in USCIS office in

city............

state............

we live in maryland and sending our mail to Chicago, Illinois. So, do we have to write MARYLAND OR CHICAGO/ILLINOIS.? Pl reply.

Enter your zip code into https://egov.uscis.gov/crisgwi/go?action=offices.type&OfficeLocator.office_type=LO and that is your local field office. Enter this office into the one requested for Q22.

One more question is for question 14. After she filled out my I 94 number , they ask for authorization stay expires as shown on I 94. But i am on student visa so on I94 it says as D/S. so which date we have to enter. Please reply..

Simply enter "D/S" as the expiration date of your authorised stay.

why are there two blanks for this question? My office would be New Orleans, so what about the other blank for question 22?

You complete Q22 if you are applying for AoS.

The section on the left is where you indicate your local office, the section on the right is for if USCIS determine you are not eligible to file for AoS (not everyone is) then you enter the foreign US post where you would pursue an immigrant visa.

If the I-130 won't let you enter letters, leave that section blank and after you print it out just enter "D/S" by hand.
