Hi Everyone! Me and my son (K1/K2)arrived here in the US on December 21, 2012.. my fiance and i are getting married next week February 14.. my question is what's the next step after marriage? Shall we file AOS immediately? My I-194 expires on March 20..Btw i still dont have social security number, state id, driver's license, and insurance.

06/07/2012:I-129F received at Texas Lockbox

06/11/2012:NOA1 Notification Email with receipt number (sent to CSC)

8/28/2012:NOA2!

Hi

First of All, Welcome here in US. Im glad that youre here already after all those waiting. After you get married, you can file your SSN in the SSS office, bring the ff documents as reference of the data. YOur Birth certificate, Marriage Licensed, Passport attached the VISA

and then you can file your AOS or Adjustment of Status. So far as I know, AOS can be file as soon as, or before your Medical Examination (Physical Exam) in your country expired.

Hi Mr Smiley! should we file immediately for my social security number or can we do it after marriage?(which is next week February 14) btw how about my son who is k2 and hes 8 years old can we file a social security number for him too? thanks! and after marriage should we file AOS immediately or we have still have time for it? thanks! :)

Hi philjes! So you mean we can file social security number after marriage right? how about drivers license and state id? our medical exam was on October 24, 2012 so that means we can file AOS until October 24, 2013? Thanks a lot! :)
