They don't look into if you have paid or not, you don't even have to set a payment plan, just file.

I'm not saying you shouldn't pay your taxes, but that is not a requirement to bring your loved one over.

I always find it funny when a poster asks for help...then pages after pages people elaborate on it...one speculates this, one speculates that...and then the OP never comes back to comment, or ask, or correct some stuff that might help him/her more precisely...or when basically 10 people respond...basically with the same answer...haha :)

I think there are going to be bigger problems in the marriage if something like this is coming out now. Once you're married, your finances are comingled and what you do (or don't do) is going to have a big impact on the other person.

If her DH isn't respecting that and putting her at financial risk (outside of her knowledge and choosing) then that indicates a considerable level of selfishness (or maybe immaturity as well - just speculating). This sort of thing (i.e. what your current financial situation is, financial plans, styles, goals etc) is something that needs to be discussed in detail before the wedding, because it's too late otherwise.

I'm seeing red flags here - not from an immigration perspective necessarily - but for the relationship. If you weren't married, I'd suggest not even moving in with him until he could be financially responsible but it's too late for that now. Time to work with what you have (and hopefully find a way to separate your assets from his reach - through a trust or similar).
