Cheap Flights from Lagos to Charlotte, NC

Does anyone out there know about how much it is going to cost for a flight from Lagos to Charlotte around December 1st a one way ticket. I am expecting my in-law to arrive around that time. :D

January 10, 2005 Mailed I-130 TSC (recieved January 18th 2005 with CSC receipt number)

January 25th 2005 NOA1 (recieved in mail January 31th 2005)

Feb 16, 2005 via email NOA2 Approved!

NVC

March 14, 2005 NVC automated system states I-864 fee and DS3032 mailed out regular US mail

March 22, 2005 Received I-864 fee and DS3032 in mail

March 22, 2005 mailed out 70.00 I-864 fee and completed presigned DS3032 Express Mail

March 23, 2005 I-864 fee received at 12:20pm signed by H Horn

March 23, 2005 DS3032 received at 11:17am signed by S Merfield

March 29, 2005 DS3032 stating received in NVC automated system

April 4, 2005 IV Fee bill generated

April 15, 2005 IV Fee bill received in mail

April 16, 2005 mailed out 380.00 IV Fee bill regular US postail mail

April 25, 2005 I-864 form recieved in mail

April 25, 2005 Completed I-864 form mailed back to NVC

May 16, 2005 DS230 generated

May 26, 2005 Received DS230, mailed back May 27th

June 1, 2005 NVC receives DS230

June 13, 2005 CASE COMPLETE

August 23, 2005 Interview Date

I don't know about charlotte, but they were advertising a flight for 480 directly from Lagos to JFK, with no layover. I believe that was with Continental, but not sure. I'm sure someone else has better information.

Timeline

I know North American Airlines have started direct flights form Nigeria (Lagos and Abuja) to JFK and Boston (i think). A travel agent in Nigeria informed me that perhaps Continental and Delta would soon follow suit with direct flights. You may want to check that out on their websites. As for Charlotte, well you may want to figure out if either of those airlines actually maintain a base in Charlotte cos if they dont, direct flights may not feasible...
