Barcodes for paperwork

I've read up quite a bit on the Lingche shortcuts to NVC and I'm very confused about the bar code system. First thing, I see the directions for printing up the bar code, but when I open the site where you are to input case # and follow putting yes or no in the appropriate boxes and changing numbers, it gets confusing because it doesn't say show text below barcode, it says show text above barcode, does that matter (above or below)? Second , what about the other places where there is no changes advised, just leave it the way it is?

Lastly , is it necessary to go through this process of making a bar code for every time we mail something in? Or for the AOS and IV papers is there just a ready made barcode available to print once the fee is generated?

Thanks in advance for clarifying this for me, I would love to use this helpful shortcut but its a bit confusing around this bar coding business :)

That wiki is extremely outdated. It's been years since you've needed to generate your own bardcodes. This was back when the only way to make payments for AOS and IV were by snail mail (before the online payment portal). Back then, making your own bar codes would save you a few days from waiting for the bar codes to be sent by mail from NVC after they received and accepted your payment.

Now, with the online system, you get the bar-coded cover sheets from the payment portal.

Saylin is right. you now barcode comes from the payment portal. even for the DS 3032 , you just email without need for barcode.
