If my j-1 get cancelled , can i re-enter on ESTA

Hi, I am currentlly in US on aupair program in my 4 month. Program is for 12 months. I already know, I cannot do this anymore (I dont like this job). So I would like to leave for my home country, cause do aupair job is condition of getting this visa i have. When I will comeback (immidiately how they wish and i am willing to pay my own ticket...)

Will i have issues to go back to the States on ESTA? like month after i will leave for my home country? No, I dont wanna work illegally, but I have a boyfriend here and I want to be with him.
