Doesn't say anything about the expedite request being accepted/approved. Did you provide proof of deployment for your expedite request?

If the expedite was accepted and approved you would see expedite approved notice.

What you posted was a " service request " response, are you sure you requested the military expedite? service request is different.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

I did call in on 18JAN12. Also I am stationed in Colorado and it got moved to the Denver Field Office. Also the Officer said that they no longer do military expedites on I-130's but that she was going to put the request in anyway under"other". Below under type of service requested it says "other" ..... So i am assuming this is the expedite info.

They do not generally move a case to the local office, that happens when they are going to interview the USC because their is a problem with the case.

The email is in response to my phone call for expedite..... So i am assuming they are expediting it at the local office level to push it through the process. Plus it says a decision should be made or a NOA within 60 days. I just filed on January 9 2013..... Rather fast considering most wait times.

Sorry, Inky - this is wrong info after the 15th of August 2012, where about half the casefiles sent in are routed FROM MSC (where all of the I-130s go now) to local offices

for

FASTER processing.

Usually no local office interview on these, but some local offices have been munging the adjudication guidelines, asking for a birth certificate of the petitioner, for example.

----

OP - I suggest you call the military hotline instead, and get the ball rolling there with the expedite. If that doesn't work, get into the local office via INFOPASS, bring yer orders and other stuff related to the expedite request (formletters, command letters, etc) and get to the I-130 unit supervisor (must wait a bit, but keep asking) and have that person handle the intake on the expedite request right there.

Good Luck !

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Not necessarily.

Your expedite wasn't addressed, IMO. Instead, you got some current casefile status.

The casefile made it to MSC, and MSC routed it to the local office. That's what they do.

The response you got back told you of the date when that was done. The expedite request wasn't addressed, sorry.

Here's the blurb:

http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.5af9bb95919f35e66f614176543f6d1a/?vgnextoid=c3c7ca7c5fed9310VgnVCM100000082ca60aRCRD&vgnextchannel=e7801c2c9be44210VgnVCM100000082ca60aRCRD

getting transferred to a local office is not a big deal - but what IS a big deal is the petitioner learning of it. Most of us have had to call in and talk with an ISO to get that information, as the CSRs can't see that stuff in their computer.

I understand but the Officer I spoke with stated that she was listing my military expedite under "other" which it states in the email along with my request date of 18JAN..... Which is when I called in and spoke with the Officer. So it is in response to my request for expedite.... I agree the expedite wasn't addressed on whether it was approved or not, but it is in response to my military expedite as all the info pertains to my phone call to the Officer. To me it looks like it was approved to expedite..... Otherwise my case would still be sitting in the Que.after only being submitted less than a month ago.

*** Thread moved from CR-1 Process forum to the Military forum -- central nature of topic is a military expedite. ***

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

So everyone gets a email regarding their service request for a military expedite two weeks after the request? And files getting sent to a local office three weeks after submission is normal? Ok thanks KBH! Your information gathering and presentation is an invaluable asset to these boards.

You need to call the military phone line to request a military expedite and send them the documents they request. Not the regular phone line for USCIS.

We requested a military expedite and our case was approved in 5 days flat and forwarded to NVC.

You get a paper notice in the mail.

Same for us.

We sent in an expedite request with the original petition by letter, then called the normal line (not military line- they were useless for us) and requested an expedite over the phone.

By the time we checked online a few days later, it said our petition had been approved and forwarded to NVC.

This was only a couple months ago - no one told us anything about military expedites not being approved!

Thanks for the response Inky... This request was done through the military hotline and i was transferred to an Officer to review the case. This email was in response to my expediate request. I should be getting a paper response in the mail soon as well.
