Hi there,

I'm new to the forum, hello to everyone! :D

I'm French citizen, living in France,

My dear USC soon-to-be-wife is living in the US and will be coming from SF very soon,

so we marry in France and file the DCF at the Paris Consulate.

Exciting!

If there are current forum users in the same situation, I'd like to network and share experiences.

Before getting to the papers matter, I have a burning question regarding timelines : I'd like to plan a honeymoon trip after the DCF filing.

Do you think it is reasonable? How much time can we use between the filing and the interview notice?

Can we tell the Consulate officers that we won't be there for a period of time?

:help:

Thanks for the tips, and cheers everyone.

hi & welcome!

I dont' know how long it's taking Paris from I-130-->interview right now. You can tell them that you'll be unavailable for certain dates; that's OK. It's much nicer to work with people face to face--I've always had nice interactions with the US workers overseas.

I recommend the search box that is at the bottom of the forum front page--it lets you search just the forum.. try 'france' and 'paris' and you will find several experiences from this year--maybe even the time estimate you want. :)
