Very typical thing for USCIS to do these days.

It's simply due to huge amount of applicants that are being backlogged in the system, especially after all these immigration changes being applied.

Just be patient. The website aren't always up-to-date or on time anyway.

At least they have the decency of aware the people. I remember when I applied for my k1 visa back in 2011, my status was never available for 4 month until I got my NOA2....

It only means that they have TONS of work to do

Moved from US citizenship forums to general immigration forums as the OP is not asking questions about citizenship but asking a general question about USCIS status updates.

We are in Philly and sent our application on December 8, 2012 and were just recently scheduled for the interview (for March 4th, 2013.) I can't see where you are far off target (yet.) I understand this is not an exact science and was (pleasantly) surprised ours got scheduled as quickly as it did. I don't think you have anything to worry about. Relax and be patient. Good luck !

if you take the timeticks,

and put them on a calendar,

you should be able to understand it.

timeticks you can know about:

1. filing date per I-797C formletter

2. checking online casefile status with the receipt # , and the status shows up the first time.

so, take those two timeticks, put them on a calendar with a 15 day sliding window after day 30,

and let us know your thoughts?

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
