Hi,

after submitting the requested RFE documents, I got this email yesterday.

I am sure it is just the confirmation for having received the docs, however, I am wondering about this sentence

However because preliminary processing was complete, the remaining processing time will be less than the maximum stated in this message. You will receive a written decision on this case.

So, are they working on my file now? What processing time are they talking about?

Thanks,,Carola

Just USCIS double speak for acknowledging receipt of your evidence and that proccessing is done but held up for the requested evidence, and will take less than the time stated in the note.

So you should hear something soon.

Good luck.

I think I am hearing an echo, the question sounds exactly like one from 1 hour ago. The search function on VJ works great! The question was even asked with the same wording for the same reason "RFE evidence receipt letter on an AOS case."

Hello,

I got that same email from CRIS, after I wrote Homeland thru snail mail to follow-up my case.

At least it is a good sign, that they are reviewing my case and put action on it "You will receive a written decision on this case"

As for my waiting time, based on the projected processing time for AOS in Portland district, they are still processing as of April 2006 receipt. Mine was May 2006.

However they said, the remaining processing will be less...I got that email last October...and now it's November... still waiting and still smiling!

Good Luck!

Jan
