USCIS-WEBSITE NEW UPDATE

"Expect a 30-45-day delay between when your application or petition is filed and when your information is available in Case Status Online, depending on the volume of applications USCIS receives."

It's just an informational update on their case status website. It basically means that when an application is filed, you might not be able to check the status online right away. It does not have anything to do specifically with the case number you entered. :)

yea, I think they meant that it takes longer to 'put the case into the system' , not the updates itself. I could check my status like 3 weeks after I got NOA1. Other updates on our case were very up-to-date.

It means that it takes that long for the case to show up after being accepted. Mine took about 3 weeks. All other updates will be the correct day.

you are right

just don't panic!

it says now..

Expect a 30-45-day delay between when your application or petition is filed and when your information is available in Case Status Online, depending on the volume of applications USCIS receives.

it means no one knows the exact date, that when their petition is approved, untill u wait more 30-45 days, or by calling them (USCIS), it really comes on last nerve.

No, I think it's saying there will be an initial delay of when your info is posted online when you first file/apply. Nothing to do with a delay of notification of approval.

Yes, it merely applies to new cases. The message refers to inputting new cases filed. It makes sense, since if they receive a lot of petitions, it will take a lot longer to input them into the system. The system will still be updated immediately when someone is approved.

Ugh...I just filed my I-129F petition for a K-1 visa this week. I knew I was going to be fairly ####### about the whole process and the waiting would drive me nuts, but now to hear it'll be 4 - 6 weeks before I can even check the status online is going to make me go bonkers.

I know that in the end the process will be totally worth it, but I may go bald before it's over with

It's not that confusing. The message only refers to new applications being entered into the system. It takes a while for their initial entry to appear after they've been filed. Applications already in the system are not mentioned in any way, shape, or form. It's only new petitions/applications.
