What scares you? What are you afraid of?

1) Diving down in the ocean and coming up with one of these plastered to my face:

2) Sitting down only to realize this is under my uncovered-ness:

3) Rob Lowe's crotch broom:

These gives me the creeps. I think they're cool outside though, I just don't want them crawling on me.

Views like this make me dizzy and I feel I'm going to loose my balance.

And I've got the worst phobia over seeing people get shots. Watching the needle going in is likely to make me hit the floor. There's no real fear, its just suddenly black starts moving in from the edges of me vision until I'm out.

My wife is crazy afraid of snakes. We were snorkeling one time and she practically drowned me when she saw long black sea cucumbers on the sea floor, as she tried to climb out of the water and into the sky using my head  I literally had to grab her and swing her around so she couldn't reach me with her hands, then swim her back to shore away from the sea cucumbers. My rescue diver training came in real handy that time. Another time at the Gap Farm in Davao, we were going into this cave they had until she saw come statue of some type of snake god, and zoom there she goes heading out. Good thing I didn't know her when I had a 6 foot boa constrictor.

I hope you know that I've just scared the ####### out of myself for the rest of the day just because I had to look that picture up

Falling out of bed? Looking up pictures of the things that scare me, messed with my head to. Although I don't like spiders at all, my father once asked for a tarantula for Christmas from me. I worked in a pet store, so he figured I could get it cheap, but we didn't deal in those, so I had to buy one retail. I was a poor college student at the time to. It really bothered me having to handle it, and was so happy when it was out of my place and into his house. A week later he tells me to come and get it because he couldn't handle it. So I ended up with a pet tarantula  I could handle it just fine though, although it took me a while to get to that point. And I still don't like the thought of spiders crawling on me.

Cheers, you guys, for looking these horrifying images up.

Here's a fun story: When I was 16, I did a six-week backpack trip in the desert in Arizona. On my second day out there, I was wandering around looking for a place to pee. I decided I'd just pop a squat over the side of a large rock (who wants pee splatter amirite?) and relieve myself. So I dropped pants, assumed the position and heard something...right under my lady parts. I looked down and there was a MASSIVE rattlesnake poised and ready to rip me apart. I screamed, scrambled down off the rock and ran back to camp with my pants around my ankles.

Not cool, snake. Not cool.

Now that is funny, I bet you were so super freaked out though.

Heres a funny one about fear of spiders. Now they've got some big nasty looking ones in the Philippines. I was staying at a rather nice little resort in a remote scuba diving town. Every day I'd see the geckos handing out by the hurricane style windows. They roamed in and out as using screens there is a rarity. We were getting prepared to take the ferry out the next day, so I gathered up all my dive gear from the shop and washed it down in the fresh water that was imported to the island for this resort. Local well water was all brackish, as was the water at the drive shop and I wanted everything well washed.

My gear had been sitting in the room drying all day, and I went to pack it up in the evening since it had finally dried. I had been wondering where our cute little geckos had made off to, I had seen them in the windows since the morning, and they were always there. I grab my BC, and into my hand hops this freaking big ugly spider. It quickly darts back onto BC as I throw the thing back on the floor, then it immediately jumps. And mean this is a huge jump, at least 8 feet to land and stick on the wall over our bed. I guess the geckos had no desire to mess around the territory this spider had taken up, maybe they were on its meal list too.

My wife is laughing at me, thinking it no big thing, had it been a snake her reaction would have been worse I tell you. She goes after it with a shoe and misses, and that spider goes darting behind the bed. Now I try to move the bed, but its super heavy, made all out mahogany, so the darn thing just doesn't wanr to budge, but finally I get it moved, my wife goes to the spider and under the bed it leaps, hidden somewhere, but not on the floor but on the bottom of the bed. So big spider hunt it over. There's no way to lift this bed without using tools to take it part. A good fire was running through my mind actually. So we lay down and try to sleep, but my heart is going a mile a minute. When suddenly there's that dang spider again on the wall right above me. This time my savior of a wife got that sucker with her flip flop. The big 6 foot American was saved by this 4 foot 10 inch tall Filipina :D She's been my hero spider killer ever since.
