Hello -

I'm so glad I found this forum!

I met my Anabelle through an introduction service last August. We had an old fashioned romance; and

sent love letters over the Autumn months. I traveled to Abidjan, Ivory Coast in January and we were married

in a wonderful African Ceremony.

Now, I am filling out the paperwork, and that I-765 question #16 is like striking a ROCK!

Nothing seems to be appropriate for her; and of course that number at the USCIS has a menu that just takes

me around in Circles...with no answer.

If anyone could please tell me the Eligibility Category of my wife; I would greatly appreciate it.

What are you filing for right now?

Is she currently in the USA?

Are you a US citizen or a permanent resident card holder?

In addition to Inky's questions what do you mean married in african ceremony? did you do a civil ceremony as well? cos I think you meed a legal document of marriage.

12/17/2012: NOA 2 (case was transferred to NYC office 11/27/12)
NVC stage ( 20 days)
01/08/2013: Case # and IIN assigned ( file arrived NVC mail room 12/20/12)
01/09/2013: AOS invoiced and paid, DS-3032 emailed and mailed.
01/16/2013: IV invoiced &paid. AOS & IV mailed in one package(arrived 01/18).
01/28/2013: Case complete!!!
04/19/2013: Interview; APPROVED!!!!!
05/13/2013: POE; JFK

N-400: (3 months and 12 days)

Interview: 2011-09-27
Oath Ceremony: 2011-09-30

What are you filing for right now? I-130 and I-765 along with the g-325

Is she currently in the USA? No, she is still in Cote-D'Ivoire

Are you a US citizen or a permanent resident card holder? I'm a US Citizen

My son, says she is a Non-Immigrant...

Hello -

It was a absolutely legal Civil Ceremony. We have all the signed and stamped documents by the

Mayor of Yopogon Province in Abidjan.
