I am afraid that US Consulate Mumbai is heavily backlogged with many cases. As I spoke to NVC few moments ago, there are chances of PD becoming current but may not get the interview letter because the load a consulate can process every month.

I could see pain of some other people whose PD became current in March but they have not received the interview letters.

they people should write to the concerned consulate and if possible talk to them by phone or personally

This is probably a little off topic but will appreciate input from people with similar experience. My wife's pd should become current in June/July but my work health insurance registration deadline is April 1st. I realize I should be able to add her to my insurance since her arrival in the US will qualify as a Status Change. The main concern is my son, he is a US citizen and he is currently not on the health insurance. Will he qualify as a status change? Just wondered what document you need to provide when the time comes to include them in work health insurance. Thanks.

Might as well create a separate topic/thread.

You don't need any paperwork, I have added my family with no social security number or any legal status.

Now just get insurance for yourself no need to add family members because they are not here...When they will come in Jun/July you can add them as family group insurance...Any insurance company allows you to add family member in case of change in life..like birth, death, job loss or arrival of new member.

To make sure call your insurance company and ask will they allow to add family member in the middle of the year...They must allow...Double check with your account department and HR too.

Thanks everyone for the advice/reply. As I said, my main concern is my son who is already a US citizen but currently lives with his mum overseas; I will go ahead and speak with my company HR for clarification. Thanks again.

This month's prediction thread is being most inactive ever...no excitement :wow: ..no fight :bonk:

I prefer it this way :) I am pleased we haven't had the usual "I have a strong feeling it's going to be a big jump!" vs "It's the fifth of the month already, and no I/L - we are going to have retrogression!" discussion this month. When people have interview news to post, they'll do so.

Good luck everyone, I hope someone will soon have happy news for us!

My F2A/IR-1 journey:

20 May 2013: IV bill received and paid

21 May 2013: IV package sent
