NOA2 hardcopy, what happens next?

Hi Everyone,

Our NOA2 hardcopy was sent to my fiancee's US address today. Her Mum emailed it to us as she is with me here in Australia.

It says on the approval that the petition will be sent to the consulate in Sydney. What we want to know is what happens from here? I know it needs to be sent to NVC and then we will receive packet 3.

Will that be sent to my Australian address? Does my fiancee need to send anything or will there be something going to her US address?

I have done my medical, just done my police check and we are waiting for documents from our co sponsor and I do not think there is anything else we need but if someone could shed some light on how it all works that would be wonderful.

Thanks so much.

David

Now that the NOA2 is received everything else is on the immigrant's end. It will process through NVC and you should be notified at your address listed about what you need to do. Your fiance will need all of the sponsorship documents, you need your medical and police checks and to fill out the necessary documents for the interview (the consulate will tell you what you need).

There's a thread in my signature but basically you will be emailed this link: http://canberra.usembassy.gov/fiance_niv_appl.html You will need to follow those instructions which are pretty easy.

You've done real well by having your police check and medical done, this will make it quicker for you. Your fiancee being there also is good because she can do the further letter of intent and her I-134. Does she have her tax documents or any supporting evidence for her I-134?

It'll all happen pretty quick from here.

You can send the DS-230 (part 1) by itself, or send it with the other documents if you have them in time when you get P3.

Then they'll email you P4 with your interview date/time and then you travel to sydney, interview, go home, wait a week or 2, get your passport with visa back (and the big envelope you DO NOT OPEN) and make your travel plans.

Good luck!

No. Everything is emailed to the Aussie and mailed to the USC. Her mother will receive (well the daughter will but assume mother will open it) the NVC case number at her address. Everything else is emailed.

Remember, this part is country specific.

OK, thanks again for all the info.

She has been living with me for the last 4 months and has not been working. That is why we need her Dad to be a Co sponsor for us. Will my fiancee need to submit any documents, tax statements etc... considering she will not be my sponsor?

So to get it staright the next thing that will happen is her mum will get an email with the case number and then forward all the packet 3 info onto me via email. (I am not sure USCIS has my OZ address)

Thanks heaps!

You wife is always going to be your sponsor, having a joint-sponsor doesn't change that. She will still need the I-134 and supporting documents.

In our case it was emailed to the Petitioner, they emailed him a form to change the email address for P4 (which we then sent to ours). It will be sent to whatever email you put on the documents.

Hello again,

So we are in the process of filling out the I34. My fiancee does not have a job right now so therefore does not have any recent payslips. We are wondering what we should do. Should we just include her latest bank statement even though we know it will not be enough to support me?

We are getting her Dad as co sponsor but we are just unsure as what to include as far as her supporting documentation is concerned.

Any advice?

Thanks heaps again for your time and help!

David
