Just was wondering how many of us late April/ May AOS 2012 filers there still are out there??

Having any luck talking to anyone about your case? We just don't know if we should contact someone or just wait til they get around to looking at ours. The last time our application was "touched" was in December because we moved and they updated our file (why they just didn't look at it then, who knows lol)

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Yes, Still waiting, filed late april, early May. Got transferred in June, No word. Called for an update and received a letter saying they are working on it, that's it, they seem swamped with loads of work. I don't know how long this is going to take :( this waiting process is the worst, so worried!

I don't think you should be worried...just more of a painful wait than anything else.

Pretty amazing that some people who filed in NOVEMBER already have their green cards yet others like you are still waiting.

The efficiency of the government knows no bounds

I just got through reading the post on this site about the people who were deemed to have an interview was because there might have been red flags in their application that needed more attention. The applications that were not transfered were the ones who were simple and easy cases. Yet, the ones who "needed" the interview are the ones who are being approved in about half the time (more or less).

I just got through reading another post here that was done back in 2007. It was from a former USCIS officer. He actually stated that most of these cases actually only take about 15 minutes to process and make a decison on. I remember reading here back in 2010, the chat with the VSC director. It was a pinned thread on this site. He stated that a K1 visa should only take 30 mintues to process. Back in 2007 people were upset about having to wait up to 90 days for the K1. Remember this 90 days was more or less the max wait time.

After reading the quoted posted, I can not help but think just how far the USCIS has gone down hill in processing these cases. But what can we do?

Well, I'm glad (though, not really glad that we're all still waiting) that we're not alone out there. It kinda sucks that they can take our money with a snap of a finger and then we have to wait 10+ months to hear anything. I have written a letter to our representative to see if they can inquire about our case. I sent in a service request with CSC earlier this month and they basically just said, oh well we'll get to it when we get to it. That was kind of frustrating!

Yep, that's what they wrote to me too. I'm tired of waiting, especially since couples that applied after us later this year has already gotten their Green Card, I don't get it, there is absolutely NO red flags in my case, me and my husband have history, he applied for a residence permit to Sweden first and lived with my for about a year and then after he moved back to the US I applied for a K1 visa, so I don't get what there is to look deeper into. (we've been a couple for 4 and a half years.)

Fingers crossed we all get our GC soon! :)

I filed 2 service requests total with the second being this past weekend. Not sure if it had anything to do with it or just coincidence. Also filed for renewal of the EAD since it would have expired in about a month, but at least it was free and only took time to fill out. I hope that doesn't complicate things further.

Yahoo!! Congrats, took their time didn't they! lol I'm glad I'm not the only one still waiting over a year! We just reached the 1 year anniversary of my husband's AOS NOA1 date, so hopefully we'll only have to wait a few more weeks (preferably days! lol)
