AOS - an update

Hey guys:)

OK, I moved from Oklahoma 2 weeks ago, did the change of address forms, all of that. Within the 10 days stated.

While i was moving i got the NOA1 and the biometrics appointment sent to the old address. My immigration lawyer has sent them a letter stating that we moved and can i have the biometrics done in PA.

All that is fine.

I noticed my packet was sent to California Service Centre when i checked the status. Does this sometimes mean ill be approved a greencard without interview?

Or because the biometrics appointment was missed will it be a different case?

ALSO: I've applyed for some voluntary work here in PA and was accepted, is voluntary work OK to do or is no form of work allowed?

Being transferred to CSC, in most cases, is a good thing. 99% of the time there is no interview and it is approved quickly and easily.

Volunteer work is fine, so long as you aren't paid. I myself am in the Lions Club here and have been quite active, trying to starve off the boredom, although I have been madly painting and stuff around the house as well while I wait.

I will add you to the CSC transfer list if you want, could you please give me some details (ie transfer date & biometrics date), so you can see how quickly an AOS can go through CSC.

Voluntary work is fine, as long as you're not taking a job that would normally be paid.

So volunteering to be a barmaid at the Skellar is out.
