Packet 3 comes when your noa2 is approved. It'll be different forms you have to fill out. You then send it back and packet 4 is confirming everythinng in packet 3 is good and you can book your medical and interview.

Each consulate is different. If you want to know the London specific preparations, start reading this thread in the UK forum. The first post has a list for you and your fiance. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/350185-london-2012-k1s-from-noa2-to-interview-thread/

In the same thread, there is an explanation of Packet 3 http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/350185-london-2012-k1s-from-noa2-to-interview-thread/page__view__findpost__p__5137390

An actual copy of the London letter known as Packet 3 here http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/350185-london-2012-k1s-from-noa2-to-interview-thread/page__view__findpost__p__5180175

And a copy of the London letter known as Packet 4 here http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/350185-london-2012-k1s-from-noa2-to-interview-thread/page__view__findpost__p__5193825

If you have further London K1 questions after plowing through the thread, ask them at the end of the thread. It's quite active and someone will reply quickly.

Thanks Nick, that is very helpful. I have read through all of the instructions on this link - http://london.usembassy.gov/iv_15.html - I noticed it says with the DS-2001, it mentions about putting the wedding date on it? We don't have one. Pretty much all of it is dependent on how quick or how slow we get issued the visa, and the local pastor wants to meet us first. Do we NEED to add that?

Again, that same thread talks about that at least four times.

Seriously, start reading that thread from the beginning and learn about London. It is full of tips and info you may not even think of. It's time to get out of the K1 thread and over to the UK forum. Example of info that is not correct for your consulate is post # 2 in this thread, which even got a +1.

Post 2 above says:

Packet 3 comes when your noa2 is approved. It'll be different forms you have to fill out. You then send it back and packet 4 is confirming everythinng in packet 3 is good and you can book your medical and interview.

In the UK, no forms come in a packet.

Nothing comes confirming everything in packet 3 is good.

You won't get "packet 4" until after your medical results are at the embassy.

You can't book your interview. It is assigned.
