DHL Delivery in Ciudad Juarez

My wife has her CR1 visa in Ciudad Juarez on March 15th at 8:00am. She has never been to the USA so for sure so a waiver appointment doesn’t apply here.

Assuming her visa is approved that same day in the morning, and if we select a DHL office in Ciudad Juarez, how likely is it that her passport with visa stamp will delivered on the day of the interview or a day after. The reason why I’m asking is because I need to arrange flight tickets and this is extremely important.

Our case is MEP if that helps for anything.

Please help me if you had been on the situation before. Thank you in advance.

Visas are no longer issued the same day of the appointment. I heard it takes a couple of days to receive the passport with the visa. I would not recommend buying the tickets before, as you cannot be certain 100% that her visa will be approved that day. Juarez is getting very picky, and if you are missing 1 copy, a photo or if they think the need more evidence of your relationship they will issue the 221g slip. Meaning you got to mail them the documents the requested. This is what happened to my wife a couple others here on VJ. Good luck.

My wife had her case approved at NVC on 2/25/2013, I was hoping one of you could fill me in on how things happen next from here, about how long after getting approved was it before you were given or able to set your interview date, and how far did you have to schedule it out?

Hello Greg!

What do you mean approved at NVC? NVC does not approve. Perhaps you are referring to case complete? For us, after our case was completed at NVC...it took about 2 weeks for us to get an interview date. They set the date, not you. If you are doing electronic processing, you will get an email telling you her interview date.

In the meantime, gather all docs/pics that bonifide your relationship for the interview.

MrEver

One more question for you can you tell me how long they scheduled your interview out after you got your interview notice?

Thanks

You are most welcome! So we got the email from NVC on 1/14/13 and the date of the interview was 2/8/13. So they give you about 3 weeks. If you have any other questions, let me know. Happy to assist.

Hopefully by the end of the week she'll be home.... :( missing my mom. By the way, she has never been in the US either, so her case was approved immediately. .. but this wait is killing me! And the hotels are very $$.. honestly it's just a waiting game now... hope this helps any.

Has anyone experienced any issues with the Consulate in Ciudada Juarez lost a passport. My friend mailed in passport through DHL office along with Affidavit of Support and a few days later received a notice from the Consulate that they needed his passport, to mail by DHL.

Both Affidavit and passport were mailed to Consulate in the same package. What can be done?
