ACRO police certificate - No Trace

As far as I was concerned, "No Trace" is the desired outcome of the police certificate. According to the certificate, it means I have no convictions, warnings, anything. However, on the London US Embassy website, it states-

"If the police certifiate states "No Trace" or "No Live Trace", please be prepared to discuss your arrests/cautions/convictions with the consular officer on the day of the interview."

What on Earth is this about? Discuss it with the officer even if I don't have any convictions or ANYTHING at all?

No Live Trace means there was something at some point in the past. I don't know why the website has that sentence the way it does, perhaps the person writing it got confused. Don't worry, the person interviewing you will know that "no trace" means nothing!

Thanks, yes it says "No Trace", not "No Live Trace". The cover letter that came with the certificate says that's a good thing. I have no idea why the London Embassy says it means I will have to discuss my convictions?!
