I will tell you I am stressed, depressed ,I am the care giver to my brother who is dying of a rare cancer called GIST and liver cancer because of GIST. I haven't seen my husband in 10 months. I have to have 2 surgeries because of my own conditions. Now tell me about stress? let's all be reasonable we all have many things in life happening to us and definitely need our love one beside us :(Look at our timeline you'll see how long we been waiting and I am not being mean but I seen someone wanting to expedite before because of a exam in USA made :bonk: this can be rescheduled can someone's life be ??? :ot2: venting sorry

I'm a little confused on how this is supposed to be helpful to OP or how it is relevant?

Well I think it's helpful to show we all are going through alot of different things That she isn't alone and maybe my problems are worse than what she is going through. For me it helps knowing I'm not alone and other people have the same struggles in life ...so it's relevant to me

My fiancee has been showing signs of stress and depression. She hasn't seen a doctor yet but I will convince her to go soon. I was just wondering if it is possible to expedite the visa process if the doctor discovers she is becoming depressed. I believe she is dealing with a lot of stress because of all her responsibilities at home and the poor conditions that she lives in. I believe because of this stress she could be developing depression. If that is the case I foresee extreme hardships on our relationship. I support her financially but if she develops a mental illness such a depression I think it would be hard to pay for those medical costs. But if she was here it would be much easier for me to care for her. I have medical insurance and when we are married it can cover her as well. So I was just wondering what is required to expedite the visa process?

If it matters, I'm from the USA and she is from the Philippines.

Thank you

It is very unlikely to get your case expedite. Just continue to reassure / support your fiancee emotionally. And, tell her to be still and know that God is brewing something better which requires endurance, patience, hope, faith, and love. Perhaps keeping herself busy by way of learning new recipes or menu so when she gets in the US she could surprise you with good home made foods. She can also go to church or bible study to help keep her spirit up, jogging, aerobic and dancing lessons, listening to good music especially worship songs, etc. There are lots of things to do -- she needs to see positive things in life and learn to be happy and appreciate the goodness of life. All the best to both of you.

it's relevant because she is telling the OP that this process gets to all of us,and even with all of her troubles she didn't qualify for expedite.

That isn't really the way it was written.

It is one of the grounds for our expedite request as well as some others, but I am the USC and it also involves an issue with my USC child. We haven't received a response yet.

It is my understanding that if it is the beneficiary that they are less likely to do the expedite and that the medical exam will ask some questions about mental health. I don't know if I'd want to risk it. We made a desperate attempt with laying it all out there, but again there has been no response by USCIS. You can take a look at the whole timeline in my about me if you want some insight into it.

I'm a little confused on how this is supposed to be helpful to OP or how it is relevant?

No it is not it's all about her, and she is a USC, so its a completely different situation. Its about as relevant as her reply that I quoted here, and that you are commenting on.

They said if it's the beneficiary, they are less likely to expedite. And I've found that to be true as well. Also, like Nola said, the medical exam WILL contain questions about her mental health.

If that is relevant then so is the post by Alot-of-patience. I didn't see you commenting on the post by Nola, that stated "I'm a little confused on how this is supposed to be helpful to OP or how it is relevant?" Makes you look like you are a hypocrite. If your gonna poke you snout into one post then surely you should have done to both?

I agree that the other post is relevant as well. I didn't realize I had to respond to everything if I wanted to respond to anything. My mistake. Moving on.
