Starting an I-129F When Stuck At Slow Field Office For I-130

So with the recent news that we were not transferred to Hartford until 2 weeks ago and that Hartford had 2100 incoming I-130s in November and I think approved 160, we are debating the merits of the K3 as sort of a worst case scenario back up.

I know that before field offices, the K3 was obsolete, but if the I-130 takes 9 months or something to adjudicate at the local office, we need the K3. Also, the ISO I spoke to was concerned that Hartford might call me in for an interview and with us being in Denmark that might be awkward.

So, I guess the questions are - where does the I-129F for the K3 get processed?

Can I submit it without a copy of the I-797 since I never received it for the I-130?

What would be the risks in doing it at this stage (3 months into waiting for the I-130)?

Can I submit an expedite request with the I-129F application?

I have been reading your comments and other people's comments and I was thinking of doing this too. It's going to be 90 days tomorrow (Feb. 11) since getting my NOA1. So I am asking now, what are the pros and cons?

And as far as I read, it doesn't cost any extra money. So why not? :help:

At this point, I just want him to be with me. I am going to go visit him when I get my vacation time but it's another 4 months to go. It's just very hard being separated from him (doing the Skype thing) and our lives are just at a stand-still/holding pattern. :crying:
